Polly Staniford
Polly is a graduate of the VCA school of Film & TV in Melbourne. In 2006 she co-produced award winning short film CROSSBOW. Written and directed by David Michôd and funded by the NSW Film and Television Office, the film has had considerable success on the festival circuit with screenings at Venice, Sydney, Brisbane, Prague, Bilbao, Milan, Flickerfest and Sundance film festivals among others. It won the Film Victoria Erwin Rado Award for Best Australian short film at the Melbourne International film festival and an AFI for Best Short screenplay in 2007. Polly has worked in many areas of the Film and Television industry, including 18 months as the Marketing & Production Manager of IF Media, working across both Inside Film (IF) magazine and three Inside Film Awards events. Polly has recently made two more short films – NETHERLAND DWARF with the CROSSBOW team and LITTLE WINGS which she wrote and directed. She recently joined Big and Little Films as part of the Film Victoria Producers Internship scheme.
