Big and Little Films is proud to announce that two of its films have been selected to screen at the Melbourne International Film Festival.

Whatever Happened to Brenda Hean?, screening Sunday 3rd August, 5pm, Capitol Theatre

Whatever Happened to Brenda Hean? tells the remarkable story of Brenda Hean – one of the firstBrenda 01 copy leaders of an environmental political party in the world – whose fight to save Tasmania’s Lake Pedder lead to her mysterious disappearance in 1972. Whatever Happened to Brenda Hean? was produced with the assistance of The Melbourne Film Festival Premiere Fund, and this screening at the Melbourne Film Festival will be the world premiere of this intriguing and important documentary. Heart, screening Saturday 9th August, 3.15 pm, Greater Union (as part of the Accelerated Documentary Shorts programme)

Heart Heart is a short observational documentary which explores the origins of creative inspiration when artist Jacqui Stockdale embarks on a portrait of her long time muse, Rose. As past storms of their personal life swirl around them, we witness the changing nature of love within the artistic process. Produced as part of Big and Little Films' Anatomy series, and screening at MIFF as part of the Accelerated Documentary Shorts Programme, Heart is a tender, intimate portrait of two women who inspire each other.
