“Never call your mother a c*nt. Well not to her face, anyway…”
Simon Chang is twenty two years old, quick witted and wildly imaginative. Unfortunately, he’s also unemployed and living in a housing commission flat with his cantankerous mother. Precious Poong is his best friend, twenty three and as big as a panda. She’s a feisty, foul mouthed girl who works at the neighbourhood Seven Eleven. Simon’s other best friend is Lewis Feh, a pretty, effeminate Chinese boy who works at the local Chinese restaurant. Lowlife is a comedy about three young Chinese Australians living on the edge, looking for friendship, love and a place where they belong.
