Nicole Kidman, Russell Crowe, Cate Blanchett, Naomi Watts, Geoffrey Rush, Toni Collette, Eric Bana... each year there seems to be another Australian actor or actress who makes it big in Hollywood. In fact, there are so many Australians in Hollywood that they are known as the 'gum leaf mafia' or 'Aussiewood'. So who will be the next Aussie actor to become a superstar?
Produced by Big and Little Films in Australia and World of Wonder in the US, The Next Nicole follows six young actors during 'pilot season' in LA - the frenzied time when network television pilots get the go-ahead and casting begins.
The Next Nicole won the Channel Four/ABC Arts Pitching Competition at the 2007 Australian International Documentary Conference.
